No official news yet on what caused the Hungry Jack Lodge fire. The original lodge was built on Hungry Jack in the 1920's, burned once in the 1930's and the second time in the 1970's. The current lodge that just burned was built in the 1970's. It is certainly a loss to the Gunflint Trail and we wish Forrest Parson's the best in this difficult time. The resort remains open and temporary office set up in one of their cabins. Guests are still welcome .
