The news continues to be positive with the fire. The 6:00 AM update this morning showed the Canadian containment portion at 20% and the US at 50%. Projected containment is May 20th. That is all good news.
The fire has burned 74,000 acres, which is only 2% of the BWCA. There are 38,000 acres in Canada and 36,000 in the US.
Homeowners in certain areas are being allowed back in to the evacuated area for several hours today.
