Every summer we have the Southern Illinois University (SIU) Department of Forestry bring a crew to the BWCA for a canoe trip. They drive up from Carbondale IL before the start of the fall semester and take a 5 day trip. This year it was 17 people under the leadership of Dr. John Burde. They went out in 3 groups on Clearwater Lake.
