At the resort, our thoughts are turning to canoe deliveries, outfitting food orders, spring repairs, canoe trips and cabins. We are still bundled in gloves and coats but the sun is warm on our face and you can take deep breaths and smell spring just around the corner.......when I wrote this the other day, it was 33 degrees outside. Last night it got to 15 below and the wind is biting. Oh well, February is the month for drastic temperature changes.
2008 BWCA Permit Changes.......
The Duncan Lake Entry permit quota was reduced from 4 to 3 permits per day
The Clearwater Lake entry permit quota was reduced from 4 to 3 per day
The East Bearskin Lake entry permit quota was reduced from 5 to 4 per day
Following the Ham Lake Fire (2007) the following permit changes have been made
The Seagull Lake entry permit quita will return to 11 permits to day
The Seagull Lake Only entry permit quota will return to 17 a day
The Saganaga Lake permit quita will return to 17 a day
The Magnetic Lake entry permit quota will return to 3 permits per day
Day Use Permits continue to be free, unlimited and self issuing at the entry point.
